Well do you know that’s just one of many different avenues to starting and growing a e-commerce business? Granted drop-ship online stores are profitable and some not so much. Just as anything in life, what works for one person may not work the same for the next.
Are you still interested in starting a business with e-commerce, if so let’s discuss the various options to invest in. We have thrifting, whether going to your local Goodwill or maybe selling off clothes you and your family no longer wear is an viable option. But let’s say you want more “in the now” fashion choices, you can look for a local fashion wholesale district in your area or online if you live in a small town. Many of these stores in the wholesale district only permit those with the proper sales license or certificate to shop there, some don’t. It’s not hard to apply for a certificate with your state if you choose this option.
Another way to go is beginning a private label rights business. Private label rights have many niches to choose from such as beauty, bath, clothing, etc. With this you are able to brand and package your products to your liking. Speaking of branding, starting a subscription box service is an amazing way to start a e-commerce business too. The variety of niches for this type of service is limitless. Now yes, these other options will require an upfront investment on your part, so do some deep research into these and other options to see which one fits into your budget starting off. As your business begins to scale you can branch out to additional means to grow your business and still offer online sales. Lease a kiosk from your local mall, attend local pop-up shops, have a virtual sale on social media, all of these will assist you in growing your customer base and them getting to know you and your brand.
